Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro

I decided to build my superhero resume using Pomodoro Technique.

As soon as I began the task, I immediately encountered my first distraction. I jotted it down in the notebook after remembering that I needed to organise my notes. I refrained from the temptation and arranged it for later that day. I got back to completing the task, and then the alarm rang, and I checked the first column. I felt a sense of accomplishment because I tend to get easily distracted most of the time. Then, after a five-minute break, I got back to the task with enthusiasm, but distraction set in when filling in the details of my experience. I couldn’t stop myself from checking the photos of the internship and then got nostalgic, but after a few moments the alarm rang, and now I’ve crossed the column because I wasn’t able to complete the task. As I was already on break, I got back to the task; this time the distraction was that I wasn’t able to recall the sequence of the production, so I wrote it down and, after the alarm rang, I watched the video. So the last time I started again, I completed the last section and reviewed the resume. This time I had no distractions because I had full concentration and a goal to complete the task in the required time.

The experiment was not difficult for me because I had used a similar technique by doing a task with full concentration and, when I felt exhausted, almost after 30 minutes, taking a break of 15 minutes, which usually ends after 30 minutes, and then restarting the task. But using the Pomodoro technique helped me well to achieve my goal of completing the CV in one go; otherwise, I wouldn’t have achieved it in 2 hours. I felt more productive by using this technique, and I must use it every day. I will switch off my smartphone and lock myself in my room with an alarm clock and the things required for my task.
