The dependency implanted in our society

It seems to me that there are a lot of people desperate to find their soulmate, or the love of their life.

I am trying to figure it out why a lot of people think that they need another person in order to be completed. I am a 26 years old guy who does not really care about this kind of relationships, where the other person feel like they need you to be a whole.

My last relationship, an unhealthy one where I didn’t realize with who I was showed me what kind of person I don’t want to have as a partner.

Nowadays I am having some dates with girls and my experience is giving me a perspective that almost all the majority are super worried about having someone next to them in order to be a couple and have a family, get married and all that. Men are also worried to those kind of things. People in general who have insecurity about themselves and have a low self-stem feels like that.

I am against the fact that this kind of people jumps out to the first person who pass next to their side because their biological clock is ticking. Society has shown us by movies and TV shows that we are not worthy if we don’t have anyone but our side.

All that creates this famous toxic relationships, people hurrying up things, having children’s, realizing afterwards that they were wrong and they did not enjoy being alone, they have right now a very static life, and not being really happy with what was supposed to give them happiness. Then, children’s are affected by this unhealthy relationship and grow up thinking kind of the same thought.

I always try to tell my friends who are like that they don’t need anybody, they have to do what they really like, try to enjoy life as much as they can. Do what you love.

If at some point you find someone special don’t try to hurry up things, enjoy the fact that you are with him/her and don’t try to think if they are going to be the one because such a thing doesn’t exist.
