Am I the Me I See

On the wonderous wings of wisdom

are wrought the thoughts of man.

Or atleast, we hope.

When I look in the mirror, what do I see?

A grown man staring back at little boy me.

When did I become so old?

I look about me and think

When did the child become the parent?

I’m scared for me.

In my mind, I’m fearless and strong,

In my heart, I’m innocent and young.

Who am I today?

I meet my challenges as opponents on the field.

Bravery and skill means a victory.

I’m thrilled!

and then it happens, that wonderous thing

A carefree moment, such joy

At a little thing.

It is Yin And Yang

Because in the end,

I am the me I wanted to be.

Live true to your self,

And your drummer if need be.

Then you to can be the you

That you see.
