this invisible song
has traveled a long way.

from the white sheet
i laid under
with dead breath
and a blue neck
until my father
gave me life back
with a drop of water
from the mountains
of our ancestors
with his hands of love,
and with a dream
of a road
covered with sweet violets
we are careful not to tread on,

to the holy grounds of fire here
where all our roads merge
to the summit
of our triumph on time
where we stand still to gaze
at the land of our forefathers
fulfilling their trance visions
healing them for forever from
all that chased them.
